Creative Director

Location: Shanghai, PRC

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Creative Director with a holistic vision to lead our in-house design team across Mixed-Used Developments after CNY. Your goal will be to bring Kerry’s brands to life for audiences globally.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage, mentor and grow creative talents :
  • Lead the creative thinking community within Kerry to explore and execute inspiring and innovative ways for customers to connect with our brands
  • Facilitate communication, collaboration, and learning across teams and studios
  • Develop team structure that facilitates and maximises individual and team performance
  • Set team and individual goals that align with company heads and make hiring decisions
  • Act as a role model for local team members to keep them engaged within our design department
  • Create opportunities for staff development by being an advisor and advocate for their career development and success in Kerry

Set Brands tone and manner :

  • Define the creative vision for the brands and ensure all teams work towards this
  • Craft short and long-term creative strategies and action plans for our brands with Marketing heads
  • Develop creative digital concepts that push our boundaries creatively and technically

Craft Innovative Brand Experience :

  • Develop integrated strategic and creative event concepts for brand campaigns with a focus on digital innovation
  • Elevate brand excellence by having a relentless focus on whats best for our brands
  • Identify opportunities to grow our brands and bring to life cost-effective solutions tailor-made to each MUD’s audience

Work across department :

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, groups, and geographies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business team, proactively sharing knowledge with Design team, and consultants on projects
  • Committed to a multi-disciplinary, research and strategy-driven, customer-centric approach to design and innovation
  • Ability to own/push creative level across all projects to safeguard quality.

Requirements :

  • International vision and understanding of aesthetics, exposure to global markets
  • Deep understanding of Chinese culture and values
  • Excellence in leading inter-disciplinary creative projects
  • 10+ years of experience in leading design efforts for Retail/Fashion Environments and Branding/Advertisement for Luxury Industry (agency or freelance)
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends in general and the real estate/ retail industry specifically
  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to make persuasive presentations to senior management
  • Fast decision-making, English & mandarin proficiency required
